CRoC Drone Workshop 🚀 📅 Date: Tuesday, 28th April ⏰ Time: 5:00 - 7:00 PM 📍 Location: Building 215, (Engineering Pavilion), Curtin University 🎟 Tickets: Free For Members! $5 for Non-members Have you ever wanted to learn how to build an FPV drone? This workshop breaks down the core engineering principles behind drones and explains the real-world components needed to get started building your own. Unsure if this is for you? That's alright! In the workshop, you can try flying a FPV drone in a simulator and ask any questions that you might have. If you do decide to build your own drone, the CRoC team can assist you with assembling it at our weekly build nights (Thursday 6pm in the Engineering Pavillion).  

Curtin Robotics Club’s FREE Beginners Hackathon 📅 Date: Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th April ⏰ Time: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM both days 📍 Location: Building 215, (Engineering Pavilion), Curtin University 🎟 Tickets: Free Keen on robotics but don’t know where to start? CRoC’s Beginners Hackathon is made just for you! Curtin Robotics Club × Red Bull Basement Hackathon Curtin Robotics Club is teaming up with Red Bull Basement to host a one-day, high-energy hackathon on campus — where bold ideas meet real-world impact. Open to all Western Australian university students, this hackathon invites participants to form teams of 1–2 people and develop an innovative solution to a global challenge. Throughout the day, teams will work towards creating a startup-style pitch, which will be submitted directly to Red Bull Basement. If selected, teams will be flown to compete in the national final, with the ultimate prize on the line: a trip to Silicon Valley and $100,000 in funding to further develop their idea. The hackathon will be structured into three focused streams: Engineering Software Business Resources will be provided to support teams throughout the day, and lunch will be provided to keep everyone fuelled and focused. Come along to CRoC's Arduino workshop! 📅 Date: March 3, 2025  🕒 Time: 5pm 📍 Location: Engineering Pavilion Building 215 Foyer This workshop is aimed for beginners and will cover the basics of Microncontroller to get you up and running.  Attendees will be introduced to some core concepts of Arduinos by club members, before being presented with a challenge to apply those concpets themselves. Club members will supervise as attendees attempt this challenge and will provide support so all finish in a timely fashion.  This workshop is free for members, and $5 for non-members. Membership is $5, and gets you free access to all of our workshops.
